Rajkumar Santoshi’s cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, featuring the iconic duo Salman Khan and Aamir Khan as the lovable yet clueless Amar and Prem, is making a long-awaited return to the big screen this April. Following the recent trend of successful Bollywood re-releases, the beloved comedy is getting a fresh theatrical run, much to the excitement of fans.
The film’s producers—Namrata, Priti, and Amod Sinha of Vinay Pictures, children of original producer Vinay Kumar Sinha—are committed to bringing back the laughter. “We are re-releasing the film on a grand scale. It has been fully restored and remastered in 4K with Dolby 5.1 sound. This is our tribute to our father, who overcame countless challenges to make this film, and we are incredibly proud of this legacy,” they shared.
Priti Sinha revealed that it was her father’s lifelong dream to see Andaz Apna Apna return to theatres. “It’s finally happening in a completely remastered form. I just wish we had preserved the 45 minutes of edited footage. Director Rajkumar Santoshi is fully invested in this project, and we hope Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor will support and promote the film. Andaz Apna Apna is as important to us as it is to them.”
With its timeless humour, memorable dialogues, and unforgettable characters, the film’s re-release is set to bring back the nostalgia of longtime fans and introduce a new generation to one of Bollywood’s most cherished comedies.
