Bollywood actor Ananya Panday was summoned to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the third time on Monday, however, the actress decided to skip her visit citing personal reasons to the agency. The actress was earlier interrogated on the 21st and 23rd of October for a total of six hours in the ongoing investigation in the drug nexus in Mumbai.
For the unversed, NCB has kept Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan in judicial custody after his arrest following a raid at a cruise party in Mumbai. Along with Aryan Khan, many high profile kids were arrested and in the ongoing investigation, Ananya Panday’s name was brought up in one of the text conversations of Aryan. Following this, NCB conducted a raid at Ananya’s residence and she was later asked to appear before the agency for questioning.
The agency claims that Ananya Panday and Aryan Khan regularly discussed drugs in their conversations, however, the actress reportedly alleged that her conversation with Aryan regarding the drugs were merely puns. The agency has also failed to collect any evidence to provide Ananya’s involvement in arranging drugs for Aryan as per the allegation. “The chats recovered from Aryan Khan’s mobile phone reveal that in the year 2018-19, she helped supply drugs to Aryan thrice by providing him the numbers of drug dealers,” NCB sources told ANI.
Meanwhile, the ongoing investigation involving Aryan Khan took a different turn when a witness alleged that Shah Rukh Khan was being extorted for money by the NCB officials in return for Aryan’s release. Following the shocking development, NCB has ordered a vigilance inquiry in the case.
