Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai on Saturday evening after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus. The legendary actor took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to inform his fans about his condition.
Amitabh Bachchan informed his fans that he has contracted the deadly virus and has been shifted to Nanavati hospital after diagnosing positive. The actor also requested people who got in his contact to get tested for Coronavirus for early diagnosis and proper precaution. “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!” Bachchan tweeted.

The actor was taking extreme precautions owing to his other health complications and was on complete home isolation ever since the nationwide lockdown was announced by the Modi-led government. Even after the government announce some relaxations, he was not allowed to continue his work due to falling under the precautionary measures for the elderly.
Currently, the actor is under medical supervision at Nanavati hospital where doctors are keeping a close eye to his health and comorbidities. Since the actor is active on Twitter, we can only assume that he is currently fit and keeping well.
