While the country struggles to cope with the medical resources demands, the entire entertainment industry has been on the front foot to support the needy in any and every way possible. Many big faces have been donating or raising money to support the medical infrastructure and Amitabh Bachchan has now contributed 2 crore rupees to Delhi’s Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Centre.

The spokesperson of Akali Dal took to their social media handle to thank Big B for his contribution in the relief work and shared how he helped out in the hour of need. Expressing gratitude, Manjinder Singh Sirsa tweeted, “Sikhs are Legendary सिखों की सेवा को सलाम” These were the words of @SrBachchan Ji when he contributed ₹2 Cr to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care Facility. While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this Facility.”

Apart from donating money, the senior actor has been actively supporting the cause and made sure to get oxygen concentrators shipped from abroad on time. “@SrBachchan Ji contributed a huge Amt & also took the pain to ensure oxygen concentrators get shipped from abroad & reach on time.
