Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been one of the most loved actors of the industry who has been entertaining the audience for over a half-century. On 7th November, the actor made his much-awaited debut in the film industry exactly 52 years ago in 1969 and celebrating his first movie, Amitabh shared a picture from his memory lane.

Sharing a monochrome picture from his debut movie, Saat Hindustani, Amitabh Bachchan shared, “on 15th Feb 1969 signed my first film “Saat Hindustani” & it released on 7 November 1969… 52 Years .. TODAY !! (sic)”. The 79-year-old shares that he had signed his first movie on the 15th of February 1969 and it took them nine months to release the movie in theatres. The movie marked his debut in the Bollywood industry and the rest is history.

Big B had also celebrated the 52nd anniversary of signing his first project early this year and shared a fan-made collage in his tweet. “It was today that I entered the film industry. February 15, 1969. 52 years! Gratitude,” he had retweeted. The movie helmed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas features Amitabh Bachchan alongside Madhu, Utpal Dutt, Shehnaz, A. K. Hangal, Anwar Ali in pivotal roles. Saat Hindustani showcased the heroic journey of seven Indians as they attempted to liberate Goa from Portuguese colonial rule.
