On the occasion of Late film maker Yash Chopra’s 86th birthday, the much  anticipated trailer of Yash Raj’s adventure action fantasy film of the year ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif  is out and it will blow away your mind.

Set in the late 17th century, the East India company that had come to India for trade, has settled to rule it and its people, burning and gunning them down mercilessly under the orders of British officer ‘John Clive’. While many bowed down to the rule & slavery, the sea warriors didn’t.

Hindustani Sea Warrior commander, ‘Azaad’ also called ‘Khudabaksh’ played by the legendary and enigmatic Amitabh Bachchan, along with his  tribe which includes the ace archer ‘Zafira’ (Fatima) poses a tough challenge to the Britishers and refuses to get ruled by the them or take their torture and make them pay for their sins.

In order to defeat these Hindustani “Thugs” as addressed by Clive, they hire ‘Firangi’ a.k.a Aamir Khan, a wannabe, flamboyant, untrustworthy and caricaturist smooth talker thug,to become a part of Azaad’s army and help Britishers defeat them. What we see is a massive fantasy like action sequence and the last bit of the trailer ending with Azaad and Firangi at war with the other. Katrina, who plays dancer ‘Suraiyya’ is a beauty to behold, she is  a woman not to mess with.

The movie is based on the 18th century novel ‘Confessions Of A Thug’ by Philip Meadows Taylor. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, this is the second time Aamir is collaborating with the director and Katrina post’ Dhoom : 3′, Fatima post ‘Dangal’ and Llyod post ‘Lagaan’.

With a budget more than 200 crores, its going to be a Diwali release this year. The film will hit the theaters in IMAX format in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 8th November.
