American actress Naya Rivera best known for playing Santana in the hit musical series, Glee, has gone missing in a swimming accident at Lake Puri in California. The officials have started a search and rescue operation to find the actress but no information has been found so far. She was last seen with her 4-year-old son who was rescued from the abandoned floating boat.
As per the reports, Naya Rivera rented a boat to swim through Lake Piru with her 4-year-old son, Josey. When the boat didn’t return on time, the lake officials went out on search and found Josey alone on the boat but couldn’t find the actress. “The missing person at Lake Puru has been identified as Naya Rivera, 33, of Los Angeles. SAR operation will continue at first light,” the Ventura County Sheriff reported.
The child has reportedly informed the authorities that his mother went into the lake for swimming but never returned back on the boat. The actress is reportedly ‘presumed dead’ by the officials while the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a presumed drowned victim.
Naya Rivera uploaded a picture with her son on her official Instagram handle before the incident and captioned it, “just the two of us.”
