Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia captivated audiences with their chemistry in Kumkum Bhagya nine years ago. The ZEE TV show has been consistently popular since its premiere. Currently, Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul are the lead actors in the series created by Ektaa Kapoor. With more twists, the show will soon feature a six-year time jump, bringing new developments, including the introduction of actress Alisha Panwar in a villainous role.
Alisha, who had her last appearance in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, has not been on TV for nearly a year. She recently spoke to Times of India about her comeback on Kumkum Bhagya, stating “I have played positive characters in the past, but I’ve noticed that viewers have connected more with my negative roles. For example, my role as Tara in Ishq Mein Marjawan resulted in many offers for similar villainous characters.”
Alisha Panwar further added that she will be playing a negative role in Kumkum Bhagya. She will be portraying an obsessive lover who falls in love with the main lead, played by Krishna Kaul, and creates trouble in his life. Further elaborating on her character, Alisha Panwar stated that before the leap it was Tina’s character who was madly in love with the main lead and now it will be her character after the leap. However, she mentioned that her character is 10 times more vicious than Tina’s and she is glad to be working on a popular show like Kumkum Bhagya.
