Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is touted to be one of the most promising movies of her acting career and the movie has been in the headlines lately for its developments. The biographical crime drama was expected to wrap up earlier but due to the unexpected situation arising due to the deadly pandemic, the shooting was halted. Even the set of the movie was demolished owing to the uncertainty in the production activities and government guidelines.

According to a source closer to the development of the movie. filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a meeting with Alia Bhatt to discuss the possibilities of resuming the shooting as nearest as possible. If the report is to go by, Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are keen on resuming the shooting of the highly speculated movie in October while following all the necessary precautionary measures suggested by the authorities.

The shooting is said to be carried out with a very limited crew and primarily, the makers are focussing on completing solo sequences with Alia Bhatt at a small set. The set of the movie is currently being prepared for the shooting with necessary measures in place for the safety of the cast and crew members. If things go as expected, the movie is likely to hit the theatres early next year. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the biographical drama also stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Parth Samthaan in prominent characters alongside Alia Bhatt as the protagonist.
