Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is all prepared to unleash her inner warrior in the highly anticipated film, Jigra. Initially slated for a September 27, 2024 release, the movie has been pushed back by two weeks and will now hit theatres on October 11, 2024. The film wrapped up filming earlier this year, generating significant buzz among fans for Alia’s new avatar and her fans have been eagerly awaiting to see more of her in action.

Directed by the acclaimed Vasan Bala, known for his neo-noir action films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Jigra promises to be a thrilling experience. Production house, Dharma Productions, shared the update, stating, “A fierce journey to protect your own…your jigra! Starring Alia Bhatt & Vedang Raina – #Jigra arrives in cinemas on 11th October, 2024.”

Starring opposite Alia Bhatt is newcomer Vedang Raina, who gained attention with his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s teen drama, The Archies. While some reports suggest he might play Bhatt’s brother in Jigra, an official confirmation on their characters’ relationship is still awaited.

Adding to the excitement, Bhatt is not just the leading actress but also a co-producer of the action movie under her production banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, in collaboration with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. This venture marks Bhatt’s second foray into production, following her successful stint with Darlings.
