Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic musical, Baiju Bawra, has been one of the most discussed upcoming movies for a long time owing to its lead cast. It was earlier reported that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone would be sharing the screen one more time for the highly-anticipated remake, the latest report suggests that their better halves will be playing the lead.
According to a source close to the development of the movie, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have been roped in to play the leads in the movie and if reports are to be believed, Ranveer has been the first choice of the filmmaker. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt joined hands with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Gangubai Kathiawadi early last year. When she read the script for Baiju Bawra, she immediately gave her nod and if reports are to be believed, insisted to be a part.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be seen sharing the screen in the sports biopic, 83, and Ranbir-Alia will be coming together for Karan Johar’s epic trilogy, Brahmastra.
