Ali Fazal has maintained to woo his audience both in the domestic and international landscape and he has signed yet another highly-anticipated project with the Scottish actor Gerald Butler.

Ali recently gained his long-awaited recognition with the popular web series, Mirzapur, and went on to provide his mantle overseas with movies like Victoria and Abdul and Death On The Nile. The actor will now share screen space in Ric Roman Waugh’s next Kandahar. Ali Fazal will be playing a key role in the upcoming action thriller based on former military intelligence officer Mitchell LaFortune’s experiences at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan.

The movie will be led by Gerald Butler along with Navid Negahban. The movie will be shot in Saudi Arabia and will be marked as the first Hollywood project to shoot in the country’s striking northwestern AlUla region, which is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra.

Helmed by Ric Roman Waugh, Kandahar is expected to go on the floors soon with the cast and crew travelling to Saudi Arabia.
