Bollywood filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has been leading a busy life with back to back projects lined up for production. The filmmaker had earlier announced signing Katrina Kaif for a female-centric superhero movie tentatively titled, Super Soldier, and follow up superhero project, Mr. India. Meanwhile, he is also working on the script of Tandav Season 2 while the first season is yet to be released. The latest report suggests that Ali is working on another project which went on the floors silently.
As per a report published in a leading tabloid, Ali Abbas Zafar started filming of his upcoming movie with Diljit Dosanjh in the lead in November. The untitled movie is touted to be based on the 1984 Sikh Riots with Diljit Dosanjh seen in a never before seen avatar. The movie is being produced for Netflix and the shooting has begun on some real locations across Delhi. Earlier, Ali Abbas Zafar was supposedly producing the feature film but after going through the scripting process, he decided to helm the movie as well.
Meanwhile, Ali is awaiting the release of political thriller, Tandav, starring Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia in the key roles. The web series will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on 15 January and the director has already worked upon the script of the second season which will be going on the floors in the second half of the year. He is also expected to get his movie with Katrina Kaif on the floors by mid-2021.
