Kartik Aaryan is currently one of the most bankable actors of his league and having a busy year with back to back movie announcements. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor already has sequels to Bollywood blockbusters, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Dostana, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, in his kitty along with Om Raut’s next. While it was earlier learnt that Kartik Aaryan will walk in the shoes of Allu Arjun in the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, there have been developments in the project.

The latest report confirms Kartik Aaryan’s outing with Ekta Kapoor as the producer of the remake along with Allu Aravind co-producing the movie. It was earlier informed that Ashvin Varde is to hold the producer’s chair but he no longer holds the remake rights to the Telugu-language blockbuster, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, which was also originally produced by Allu Arvind. While the team is still searching for the female lead, the movie is to be helmed by Rohit Dhawan.

Kartik Aaryan is currently busy with his previous commitments and is expected to wrap up his part of work by early next year. If things go as expected, the untitled Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramloo will go on the floors in the second month of the upcoming year and book release date in the second half of 2021. However, the poised dates are not certain as the pandemic situation has been making filmmakers shift gears back and forth lately.

The movie will also mark the first collaboration between Kartik Aaryan and Ekta Kapoor as well as first outing director Rohit Dhawan. While the Telugu movie was a blockbuster, the makers are focused on recreating the magic for the Hindi audience as well.
