The pandemic followed by a nationwide lockdown in India caused huge losses to everyone and the entertainment industry turned out to be one of the most affected sectors. While the government issued relaxations in a number of activities despite the scary spread of the virus, theatres and multiplexes do not seem to resume functioning any soon.

With theatres closed, many filmmakers took the OTT route to release their ongoing projects and it was earlier announced that Akshay Kumar starrer highly anticipated movie Laxmmi Bomb will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on the 9th of November. With the pandemic situation getting under control in many countries, the makers have decided to release the horror-comedy on the big screen in countries where theatres have reopened.

Sharing the news, production house Fox Star said, “This Diwali, #LaxmmiBomb to release on 9th November in Australia, New Zealand and UAE. Laxmmi Bomb is premiering in India on @disneyplushotstarvip and on Hotstar in USA, UK and Canada on 9th November.” The movie will make its way to the theatres for Bollywood fans Australia, New Zealand, and UAE. Meanwhile, Indian audiences and the rest of the world will be able to enjoy the drama on the OTT platforms only.

Helmed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmmi Bomb stars Akshay Kumar alongside Kiara Advani in the prominent character. The movie is also a Hindi remake of the Tamil-language blockbuster horror-comedy, Muni 2: Kanchana.
