It was recently announced that Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are collaborating on Singham 3, and now reports indicate that Akshay Kumar will return as Sooryavanshi in the film. Additionally, there may be a cameo appearance by Ranveer Singh as Simmba.
According to a source close to the project, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will be appearing in the upcoming Ajay Devgn film. The source compared Rohit Shetty’s cop universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and stated, “Just like in Simmba where Ajay and Akshay had cameos, and in Sooryavanshi where Ranveer and Ajay were featured, Singham Again will also see Akshay and Ranveer making appearances.”
According to the source, the films are being planned to connect with each other in the cop universe, but there is still potential for a large crossover film like Avengers: Endgame. In addition to Singham 3, Rohit Shetty is developing a web series called Indian Police Force, which will feature Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. This series will be the first of its kind in Shetty’s cop universe.
In Singham Again, Ajay Devgn will once again play Inspector Bajirao Singham and Deepika Padukone will join the cast as Lady Singham. Unlike previous films in the franchise where Kajal Aggarwal and Kareena Kapoor Khan had minor roles, Deepika’s character will have a more significant role as the first female cop in the universe created by Rohit Shetty.
