Vaani Kapoor touched the pinnacle of her success in the Indian entertainment industry last year as she was cast opposite Hrithik Roshan in the blockbuster action-drama, War. While the actress had limited screen time in the movie, she played a crucial character in the movie which turned out to be a box office phenomenon. The latest report has it that the 31-year-old actress has bagged another biggie.
The Befikre actress has been signed to play the love interest of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming spy thriller, Bell Bottom, which will be based on true events in Indian history. Vaani Kapoor will be playing the wife of the coveted spy in the movie and the makers approved of her last week. While the makers are currently working on the look tests on her since the movie will be set in the 80s, the source adds that her character will add value to the plot.

Currently, the pre-production has hit a back burner amid the Coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions associated with the outbreak. Once the dust settles, the makers will start finalizing the locations for the period drama and the movie will go on the floors afterwards. Helmed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom stars Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor in the prominent characters and the movie is slated to release on the 2nd of April next year.
