Bollywood industry is getting bigger and broader with every year and so is the number of movies that releases every year. While clashes between two big banner movies have become common in the Indian entertainment industry, the makers try their best to avoid a clash as well as to grab festive openings to accumulate maximum earnings possible. In a similar attempt, we witnessed major shuffling in movie release dates.
Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Angrezi Medium, which was to release on 20 March, preponed to 13 March. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor’s second and third outing, Gunjan Saxena and Roohi Afzana, got postponed to April 24 and June 5, respectively. In the light of release date shuffles, Rohit Shetty decided to prepone the release of the next instalment to his cop-universe, Sooryavanshi.t
The highly speculated actioner, Sooryavanshi, which is the fourth instalment to the Rohit Shetty’s cop-universe followed by Simmba and Singham franchise, was earlier slated to release on March 27. However, the makers of the movie have decided to release the movie earlier on 25th March, which is a part-holiday on account of Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra. While Gudi Padwa is not a national holiday, Rohit Shetty wants to collect as much as possible before Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 makes its way to the theatres.
Talking about the movie, Sooryavanshi reunites Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif on the silver screens after a decade. The Rohit Shetty directorial also brings together Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh under one roof for the actioner. If reports are to be believed, the first trailer of the movie will be launched on the 2nd of March.
