Akshay Kumar’s upcoming release, Samrat Prithviraj, is one of the most anticipated movies of the actor as it is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. The movie, made over a hefty budget and massive scale, essays the role of the warrior who fought to protect India from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor. However, the fans of the actor living in Kuwait and Oman will have to miss the epic historical drama.
According to reliable trade sources, Yash Raj Films’ ambitious project and its first historical drama is not permitted a release in Kuwait and Oman. The sources claim that the censor board of the two countries have announced a ban on the premiere of the movie as it puts the countries in a bad light. However, there has been no official statement made by the makers of the movie or the censor board of the two countries in the discussion.
Helmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Samrat Prithviraj is set to release on the 3rd of June in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The historical epic features Akshay Kumar in the lead alongside Manushi Chhillar, Manav Vij and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.
