Anurag Singh directorial epic war period drama Kesari starred Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. The movie was a critical and commercial success in the Indian Bollywood box office and the makers are all prepared for a release in Japan.

Earlier today, Akshay Kumar took to his social media networks to announce the slated release of his film in Japan and shared a Japanese poster of the movie. He wrote, “Kesari, a film based on one of the bravest battles ever fought : 21 courageous soldiers against 10,000 invaders, is set to conquer Japan on 16th August, 2019! (sic)”


The movie was released under Akshay Kumar’s production banner of Cape of Good Hope Films along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie was released on the occasion of Holi festival in India and featured Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra as the lead pair.

Kesari depicted the Battle of Saragarhi where 21 Sikh soldiers took a stand against 10,000 Pashtun invaders. The battle is considered as one of the greatest last stands the history has ever seen.
