Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had earlier started shooting for his historical action-drama, Prithviraj, however, due to the ongoing pandemic, the production of the highly-anticipated movie was severely affected. While the big-budgeted period-drama had completed a major chunk of its filming before the nationwide lockdown was announced, the shooting was halted in view of the Coronavirus and government guidelines.
After receiving some relaxations from the government, Akshay Kumar resumed the shooting of the movie at an extravagant set built in the Yash Raj Studios with all the necessary precautionary measures in place. As per the source close to the development of the movie, Akshay Kumar started shooting after the lockdown on the 10th of October along with antagonist Sonu Sood. On the other hand, Manushi Chillar, who will be portraying the character of Sanyogita in the movie will start shooting from Tuesday.
“Yes, we have resumed Prithviraj shoot at YRF studios and the entire team is excited to have a great shooting schedule,” confirmed the director Chandraprakash Dwivedi without revealing details about the shooting. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt in a prominent role who is to shoot for the movie post Diwali.
