Akshay Kumar led cop-drama, Sooryavanshi, co-starring Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn finally gets a release date after getting pushed for months owing to the pandemic crisis. In a recent social media announcement made by Akshay Kumar informing his fans about the release date, IPS officer RK Vij pointed an error in the shared pictures.

Akshay Kumar announced the new release date of his upcoming movie, Sooryavanshi, with a BTS picture that features him, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Rohit Shetty in a police station set. However, in the photo, Ranveer can be seen sitting in an inspector uniform while the rest of the cast and crew were standing. Pointing out the same, IPS officer RK Vij commented in Hindi, “The Inspector is sitting while the SP is standing, it doesn’t happen like this (Translated).”

Responding to the observation, Akshay Kumar clarified that they are sitting and enjoying themselves as actors and are not in their characters. “Janab ye toh Behind the Scenes photo hai. Hum Kalakaar logon ke liye jaise hi camera on hua, ekdum protocoal waapas. (Sir, this is Behind-the-scenes photo. For us artists, as soon as the camera is turned on, protocol returns.) Regards forever to our great police forces. Hope you like the film when you watch it,” wrote Akshay Kumar. The officer further thanked the actor for his respect for the forces and clarified that his comment was in a ‘lighter vein’.

Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi brings together Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in the Akshay Kumar-led police drama along with Katrina Kaif in the female lead.
