Akshay Kumar has been in the headlines for his back to back movie announcements but the actor has also been an active philanthropist. While the director of his last release, Mission Mangal, recently collapsed at a friends’ gathering, the reports have it that the Khiladi Kumar has been taking care of his medical expenses.
Jagan Shakti was earlier diagnosed with blood clotting in his brain and the filmmaker recently fell unconscious before he was rushed to a hospital. As per the reports, Jagan went through a surgery and his condition is improving post the treatment. However, his former colleague, Akshay Kumar, made sure that the director is doing well and helped him with whatever possible.
According to a source, Akshay Kumar was taken aback by the unfortunate news and he immediately reached out to Jagan Shakti’s family for financial assistance during his battle with illness. The source further added that the Mission Mangal actor gets attached to every director he works with and never steps back from helping them in any way.
Jagan Shakti and Akshay Kumar have worked together in Mission Mangal and Padman in the past where Jagan worked as a director and an associate director, respectively. As per the reports, the filmmaker narrated another script to the actor and Akshay gave his nod to the project. While there has been no official announcement yet, the script is being worked upon.
