Akshay Kumar is probably the busiest actor in the industry who has been shooting back to back movies despite the coronavirus pandemic which halted the entire industry. On Wednesday, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala announced the filming of Akshay Kumar’s next, Bachchan Pandey, with a muhurat shot and today, Akshay Kumar joined the cast and crew.
Taking to the social media handles, Akshay Kumar marked filming for Bachchan Pandey as the 10th collaboration Sajid Nadiadwala and shared a BTS picture from the set of the actioner. Sharing the still, he wrote, “New year, old associations…begun shooting for #BachchanPandey, my 10th film with #SajidNadiadwala, and hopefully many more. Need your best wishes and do tell me your thoughts on the look. @farhadsamji @kritisanon @jacquelinef143 @arshad_warsi @nadiadwalagrandson”.

In the shared picture, Akshay Kumar can be seen sporting a rowdy avatar in an unbuttoned black shirt and loads of accessories to support the gangster look. Featuring Akshay in the titular character of a gangster aspiring to become an actor, the movie also stars Kriti Sanon as a journalist who aspires to become a director. The action-comedy is being helmed by Farhad Samji and is slated for a 2021 release.
