His recent release, Good Newwz, has been hitting the right chords lately and was able to cross 100 crore mark in just 6 days. While Good Newwz is minting money at the Indian box office, Akshay had four releases in the last year.
Akshay Kumar has emerged as one of the most bankable actors in the Indian entertainment industry and he has added another record to his name. The Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood has become the first actor to cross 700 crore INR nett at the Indian box office in a single year. The actor has booked the achievement with four releases in the year 2019, namely Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4, and Good Newwz.
The period action drama, Kesari, managed to collect 154.41 crore INR while the epic reincarnation comedy, Housefull 4, minted 194.60 crore INR at the Indian box office. With over 200 crore INR from Mission Mangal and an estimated 188 crore INR from his latest release, Akshay Kumar has managed to collect a staggering 700+ crore figure in a single year.
The list is followed by Ranveer Singh with two releases in the year 2018 and a nett collection of 542.46 crore INR while Salman Khan manages to get the third spot with his two releases in the year 2015 which collected a total of 530.50 crore INR.
