Fardeen Khan, who has been absent from the big screen for over a decade, is making his comeback in Bollywood with the Sanjay Gupta-produced film Visfot. In this Kookie Gulati-directed movie, Fardeen stars alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat, and Krystal D’Souza. The film is a remake of the Venezuelan crime thriller Rock, Paper, Scissors from 2012. While Fardeen is rumoured to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project Heeramandi, no official confirmation has been made regarding his casting in the film. With his comeback projects yet to be released, Fardeen has now taken on another exciting role.
Fardeen Khan is set to reunite with Akshay Kumar after a 16-year gap for a comedy entertainer directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film, tentatively titled Khel Khel Mein, is a comedy centred around a group of long-time friends who gather for dinner and decide to play a game that unveils their secrets, leading to hilarious chaos. Fardeen will portray one of Akshay’s friends in this film and is excited to explore comedy on screen once again after a 13-year hiatus. This collaboration also marks a reunion for Mudassar Aziz and Fardeen, who previously worked together on Dulha Mil Gaya.
While Taapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor are rumoured to be playing the leading ladies in the film, their casting has not been officially confirmed. Pre-production work for the movie is in full swing, with filming scheduled to commence next month in the UK. Akshay Kumar is expected to join the project after the release of his upcoming thriller drama, Mission Raniganj, which hits cinemas on October 6.
Following his collaboration with Mudassar Aziz, Akshay Kumar is set to work on the fourth Housefull instalment, followed by Jolly LLB 3. Afterwards, he’ll start shooting for the eagerly awaited Welcome 3. Akshay also has two upcoming films: Dharma Productions’ C. Shankaran Nair biopic, Maddock Films’ aviation thriller Sky Force, and Ali Abbas Zafar’s action entertainer, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, slated for Eid 2024.
