It was earlier informed that Ajay Devgn has finally signed his first YRF’s film after letting bygones be bygones and the latest developments in the project suggest that the movie is going to be bigger than expected. A source close to the movie informs that the Ajay Devgn starrer will be part of a superhero franchise which is to be built on a lavish scale.
For the uninitiated, Ajay Devgn had a major public dispute with Yash Raj Films in the year 2012 when the actor accused YRF of unfair practices. On Diwali 2012, there were two releases, YRF’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn starrer Son Of Sardar. However, Yash Raj Films allegedly booked almost all screens for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer and left Son Of Sardar with very few theatres to business. Since then, Yash Raj Films and Ajay Devgn had been giving cold shoulders to each other but the two have decided to put aside their difference and collaborate for a project worth the while.
Now a source close to the development of the untitled movie claims that Yash Raj Films has planned a superhero franchise and Ajay Devgn starrer will be a part of the movie series. The production house has earlier produced blockbuster movie franchises including Dhoom and Tiger. With the success of Baahubali series and the craze for superhero movies in Hindi audiences, the movie is expected to do well at the box offices with a gripping script.
The untitled movie is to be helmed by debutant director, Shiv Rawail, while the rest of the cast and crew is not decided yet. It is being planned to be built on a grander scale with Ajay Devgn leading the spectacle.
