Veteran actor Ajay Devgn, who recently celebrated his 52nd birthday, has completed his last day of shooting at the sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi amid the rising cases of Coronavirus. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial had only one day of shooting left with Ajay Devgn for his extended cameo in the crime drama.
Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had last worked together in the iconic love drama, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and the two have been trying to come together for another project for decades. According to a source close to the filmmaker, Ajay and Sanjay had a great time shooting for the Alia Bhatt starrer and they plan to work together for a full-fledged role of Ajay Devgn.
Ajay was also offered Bajirao Mastani but the actor politely turned it down as he was doing another movie on the same feels, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. When he was asked to do a cameo in the Alia Bhatt starrer, it was an instant yes from him.
Meanwhile, the lead actor of the movie, Alia Bhatt, informed that she contracted the deadly virus amid the shooting of her next and she is currently under home isolation.
