Ajay Devgn is currently one of the biggest actors in the country with a plethora of projects under production. The actor, who recently announced his digital debut with the remake of the British crime series, Luther, will also be seen in ambitious and highly anticipated movies like RRR, Maidaan, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Mayday, Thank God and an untitled project by Neeraj Pandey. While the actor was to star in YRF’s superhero flick, the latest report has it that he is no longer a part of the project.
Yash Raj Films was to make a number of movie announcements last year on completion of 50 years in the industry. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated precautionary measures, the celebration was cancelled. In the list of movies to be announced, one made limelight for bringing together Ajay Devgn and YRF for the first time and that too for a superhero drama. While Ajay had given his verbal nod, he didn’t sign the dotted line.
According to earlier updates, Ajay Devgn was to play the antagonist opposite debutante Ahaan Pandey. However, the movie got stuck due to the ongoing pandemic. Now the latest updates from a source close to the development suggest that Ajay Devgn has opted out of the project due to the lack of dates. The movie is already running late in production and the makers do not want to push it any further and therefore, Ajay Devgn won’t be able to be a part of the superhero flick despite having a strong character.
To be helmed by Shiv Rawail, the untitled superhero movie marks the debut of Ahaan Pandey with Ananya Pandey playing a key role in the movie. Now that Ajay Devgn is no longer in the movie, the makers are chalking out the list of actors for replacements.
