Ajay Devgn is gearing up to reprise his role as the fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the highly anticipated sequel, Raid 2. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, the film is slated for a theatrical release on February 21, 2025.

Joining Devgn in this gripping follow-up are Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, Ritesh Deshmukh as the primary antagonist, and Rajat Kapoor in a pivotal role. The movie has been shot extensively in Delhi and Lucknow, promising an edge-of-the-seat experience packed with high-stakes drama and intense performances.

The original Raid (2018) was inspired by a real-life income-tax operation conducted in the 1980s, known as one of the longest raids in Indian history, lasting three days and two nights. The film’s blend of a compelling storyline and Devgn’s powerful performance struck a chord with audiences and critics alike.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, Raid 2 is produced under the Panorama Studios banner. Initially planned for a November 2024 release, the film has been postponed to its new February 2025 date, ensuring ample time to perfect this ambitious project. Fans can expect another riveting tale of justice and determination as Amay Patnaik takes on corruption once more.
