Featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the nail-biting thriller, Dhrishyam remains one of the most thought-about plots in the Indian entertainment industry. While Mohanlal starrer Malayalam-language Dhrishyam 2 released this week, developments and anticipation about the sequel’s remake in Hindi have been doing rounds on the internet.
Earlier, Ajay Devgn and late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat remade the Malayalam-language thriller, Dhrisyam, and as per reports, Ajay Devgn had bought remake rights of Drishyam 2 ever since the Malayalam thriller was announced. Now that the movie has released and attracted critical acclaim, Ajay Devgn is chalking the production of the Hindi remake which might bring together Tabu and Devgn one more time.
According to sources close to the development of the Hindi sequel, Ajay Devgn and Tabu have been locked for the thriller which will be made on a bigger canvas meanwhile keeping its simplicity intact. However, the team is currently looking for the director of the movie and the director of the Malayalam movie, Jeetu Joseph, is in the front of the race.
If everything goes as planned, the movie is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year and hit theatres next year.
