The upcoming mature love story featuring veteran actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead was to be released in theatres on July 5. However, the latest reports suggest that the makers have decided to postpone the project to avoid screen sharing with Prabhas-led sci-fi thriller, Kalki 2898 AD.
According to a source close to the production house, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has been reportedly postponed given the success of the megaproject Kalki 2898 AD. The futuristic saga infused with Hindu mythology has been holding well on the big screens and managed to mint even during the cricket World Cup finale between India and South Africa. The makers are afraid that the movie will continue to hold strong in the second weekend as well and releasing Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will result in competing for screens.
While the decision of the producers disappoints the fans eagerly waiting for the release of the love story, the exhibitors have expressed their contentment with the news. Meanwhile, the makers are yet to announce a new release date for the movie. On the other hand, action-thriller Kill featuring Lakshay in the lead will be the only Hindi movie releasing this week.
Bringing together the hit duo, Ajay Devgn and Tabu, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also features Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari in key roles. Written and directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie features a love story spanning decades and twists.
