The two part Telugu biopic movie ‘N.T.R’ based on the life of actor-politician N.T. Rama Rao, will see actress Rakul Preet playing Legendary Indian cinema heroine Late Sridevi in the film.  Confirming, the actress posted about the same on her social media profile.

Starring Telugu Star Nandamuri Balakrishna as NTR, who also happens to be the actor-politician’s real son and Bollywood star Vidya Balan, the female lead who plays NTR’s first wife Basavatarakam, marks her debut in Telugu movies.

Directed by J. Krish, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma etc. in pivotal  roles.  Rana will be seen playing the character of present Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, also NTR’s son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu.

NTR was a huge star in the southern industry and Sridevi went on to do around 15 films with him. Rakul shared the first look of herself as the late actress in an instagram post recently.

The film set to release early next year in January will be released in two parts. The first part ‘N.T.R : Kathanayakudu’ will hit the screens on 9th Jan 2019 and the second part ‘N.T.R: Mahanayakudu’ on 24th Jan 2019.
