Weeks ago, members of the Bachchan family was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after they were diagnosed with COVID-19. While the early pieces of information were about Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan contracting the viral disease, it was later discovered that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya had been tested positive for Coronavirus as well.

Aishwarya and her daughter, Aaradhya, showed mild symptoms of the viral disease and were advised to remain in home-quarantine. However, the two were later shifted to the hospital where Amitabh and Abhishek were being treated as their condition deteriorated further. While Amitabh has been updating his fans about his health as he is been kept under medical supervision, the latest development came as a relief for the Bachchan family as well as their fans. Abhishek Bachchan took to his social media handle to announce that Aishwarya and Aaradhya have been discharged from the hospital as they have tested negative consecutively for COVID-19 tests.

“Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. ?? Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted as he thanked his fans for the warm wishes. While Aishwarya and Aaradhya have successfully defeated the virus that scares the humanity, Amitabh and Abhishek continue their battle against it.
