Over three months ago, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left for his heavenly abode but left more than a handful of questions related to his untimely and unfortunate death. While the earlier investigation suggested that the actor died by suicide, recent findings by the CBI and NCB probes suggested a deep conspiracy. However, neither agency has yet confirmed or denied any aspect.
After the actor’s demise, Mumbai Police conducted a re-evaluation of his post-mortem and viscera report but found no conclusive findings. When CBI was appointed to investigate the case, it made a special team and handed over the left-over viscera to the AIIMS forensic team along with the post-mortem report for a second opinion. Meanwhile, CBI continued its probe by interrogating people who shared a close proximity with the case, however, the agency heavily rely on the AIIMS forensic team’s report.
The AIIMS team was to hand-over its findings to CBI last week but it didn’t happen until Monday evening. As per the media reports, the report submitted by the AIIMS forensic team is a ‘conclusive finding’ in the case and is being analyzed with other evidence by the CBI before jumping to any conclusion. The report will play a crucial role in concluding whether the actor strangulated himself or was murdered.
Earlier, after the lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father alleged that the CBI is delaying the investigation, the agency issued a public statement that no aspect has been ruled out and they are continuing the investigation with the utmost professional approach.
