Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying a successful run at the box office with his recent outing, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu. While the movie continues to mint coins at the ticket counters with positive word of mouth, the makers are already planning to cook another instalment to the successful franchise.
In a recent media interaction, filmmaker Bhushan Kumar revealed plans for a possible third instalment to the popular franchise following the successful box office response. “There is enough scope in the premise and we will announce more details at the right time,” he said confirming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The movie was a sequel to the Akshay Kumar starrer horror-comedy with a different storyline and characters but managed to pull the audience to the theatres when the majority of the movies are taking a loss.
The makers also discussed the possibility of spinning a franchise around the Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh which also broke many records at the box office. Talking about a sequel to the romantic drama, Kumar said, “It’s an iconic character and can be taken into a second part.” The filmmaker also discussed his interest in taking the Aashique franchise forward with new leads.
