While Bollywood actor Salman Khan is busy filming his next, Sikandar, set for an Eid 2025 release, the latest report suggests that his hectic schedule is about to get even busier. According to the rumour mills, a potential collaboration between Salman Khan and filmmaker Atlee Kumar for a high-budget action film is underway.

According to Pinkvilla, Salman Khan and Atlee are in talks for a film to be produced by the production house, Sun Pictures. The two have been brainstorming ideas for a potential collaboration. “There’s a subject that aligns perfectly with both Salman and Atlee’s strengths,” said a source close to the development. If the reports are to go by, Salman has given an initial go-ahead, and Atlee is currently working on the screenplay. The script is expected to be presented to Salman within a month, followed by discussions on the shooting schedule. If it all goes as planned, the film is tentatively slated to begin production in early 2025.

Atlee aims to create a massive Pan-India spectacle by featuring Salman Khan alongside a top A-list superstar from South Indian cinema. While there were also rumours that Ranveer Singh was approached to play a key role, the focus remains on pairing a North and South Indian actor for this project with Salman Khan already in advanced talks. The source further clarifies that the project is different from the one Atlee previously planned with Allu Arjun, which was a period drama. This new project is a fresh script specifically designed for Salman Khan and a yet-to-be-named South Indian superstar.

While the superstar is yet to sign the dotted line, all parties involved seem enthusiastic about collaborating and a clearer picture is expected within the next 30 days, following further meetings and script narration sessions. Once the screenplay is finalized, there will be a joint narration for both Salman and the South Indian star, who have agreed in principle based on the initial concept.

The yet-to-be-titled film featuring Salman Khan in the lead will be Atlee’s next project after the highly successful action-drama Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi. With the script development underway, fans can anticipate more updates on this promising collaboration soon.
