After the huge success of the recently released romantic drama Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is in demand and has been approached by several filmmakers for mostly remake projects. While the actor has not signed any dotted line so far, reports suggest that he had nodded for the Hindi remake of Nani starrer Jersey.
According to the latest report published by the entertainment portal, Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor has agreed to become a part of the remake after filmmaker Dil Raju approached him for the same. Shahid has reportedly watched the Nani starrer and loved it. While earlier, Karan Johar was supposed to present the Hindi remake, the latest developments suggest that Dil Raju is keen on making his Bollywood debut along with director Gowtham Tinnanuri.
However, we are waiting for an official statement as Shahid Kapoor is currently taking some time off for his family as he wants to be there for his children’s birthdays. If things work out between the two parties, Shahid will start working on the project only after October. Meanwhile, there are also reports that Shahid will announce two back to back projects by November.
