The actor also informed that his family is being tested and the latest update is that his son, Abhishek Bachchan, has also contracted the virus.
After Amitabh Bachchan made an announcement regarding his health, Abhishek Bachchan also took to his social media account to inform his fans about the ongoing family health crisis. The Big Bull actor tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you,”

While Abhishek Bachchan has assured his fans that both father and son are having mild symptoms and are following required medical protocols. Both the actors have been admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai for their treatment of COVID-19, while test results of other family members are not arrived or disclosed yet. Junior Bachchan also informed via his tweet that his family and staff are being tested for the virus.
