Prime Video, in collaboration with renowned filmmaker Karan Johar, recently unveiled a compelling teaser for their upcoming Amazon Original film, Ae Watan Mere Watan, offering a glimpse into the movie before its trailer launch. The teaser pays tribute to India’s lesser-known heroes and their untold narratives, introducing Usha Mehta, a courageous 22-year-old who played a pivotal role during the 1942 Quit India Movement. Usha utilized an underground radio to foster unity against British rule.
Karan Johar, in the video, delves into Usha’s inspirational story, guiding viewers through the journeys of other revolutionaries like Sehmat Syed (Alia Bhatt) from Raazi and PVC Captain Vikram Batra (Sidharth Malhotra) from Shershaah. The former infiltrated a Pakistani army family for espionage, while the latter, a Kargil War hero, made the ultimate sacrifice. The teaser builds anticipation for Sara Ali Khan’s portrayal of Usha in this highly awaited historical thriller-drama, chronicling the transformative role of a young girl in India’s freedom struggle. The director also disclosed that the trailer is scheduled for release on March 4.
