Aditya Roy Kapur has always proved his mantle with his performance and his versatility. While the actor was loved for his recent killer avatar in Mohit Suri’s directorial action-thriller, Malang, he was signed for another project with the director. Earlier reports had it that Aditya Roy Kapur had given his nod for the sequel to the blockbuster thriller-drama, Ek Villain, which is to be directed by Mohit Suri. However, the latest developments are not in favour of his fans.

Ek Villain 2 was supposed to star Aditya Roy Kapur paired opposite Tara Sutaria while another fresh pair of John Abraham and Disha Patani was to given equal importance. The movie was scheduled to go on the floors in the month of April but due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, production activities were put on an indefinite halt and the shooting never commenced. However, the latest report has it that Aditya Roy Kapur has walked out of the project and rumours are pointing towards a creative difference between the actor-director duo.

Along with the differences and an alleged fallout between the two, date issues were also cited which led the filmmaker to replace Kapur. Another source claims that Aditya Roy Kapur wasn’t happy with the script and portrayal of his character opposite John Abraham and felt insecure with the screen presence in the movie. Whatever the reason may be, Aditya Roy Kapur will not be a part of Ek Villain 2 anymore.

Earlier Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri have worked together for a number of movies and Kapur had his first full-fledged character in Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2, which was a turning point for the actor’s career.
