Filmmaker Murad Khetani announced a Hindi remake of the Tamil-language action thriller film Thadam last year with Sidharth Malhotra as the lead. The announcement was received by the fans with excitement, however, the movie couldn’t go on the floors due to the pandemic. Later, Sidharth Malhotra decided to opt out of the project due to date conflicts.

After the exit of Malhotra from the movie, the movie hit a backburner. However, now the makers have decided to revive the highly anticipated project with Aditya Roy Kapur playing the lead. As per the reports, Aditya was approached to play the double character in the movie as per the original plot, and he immediately gave his nod. The actor and his team reportedly loved the duality of the characters and have given the dates for the shooting.

Aditya Roy Kapur is currently filming Ahmed Khan’s action drama, Om The Battle Within, with Sanjana Sanghi playing the female lead. After the wrap up of the actioner, Aditya will start working on the Thadam remake with Mrunal Thakur playing the key role.
