Coronavirus pandemic has been devastating for every person breathing on the mother earth. However, people working on daily wages are one of the most affected by the ongoing pandemic and the associated lockdowns. Bollywood’s big wigs have time and again helped those in need by their goodwill drives and Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra has yet again decided to lend his support to the daily wage workers in the film city by funding a vaccination drive.
According to a report, Aditya Chopra has pledged to bear the expenses of a vaccination drive to vaccinate the daily wage workers of the film city. The producer has reportedly sought permission from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, to carry out the drive and bear the expenses. Aditya also reportedly initiated a conversation with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees for the vaccination rollout plan.
Aditya Chopra reportedly thought that daily wage workers would not be able to afford the vaccination considering the current lockdown in the state and decided to take the responsibility. However, there has been no official statement from the producer or his company so far. Aditya had earlier contributed 15 crore rupees to help daily wage workers during the first lockdown last year.
