Magnum opus mythological drama, Adipurush, has been in the news lately for its star cast and the plot. The movie which was announced last year is currently one of the most anticipated big-budgeted movies around and the filmmakers are leaving no stones unturned to make it the next big thing in the Indian entertainment industry.

Starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan in the key roles, Adipurush commenced its shooting on Tuesday and the director, Om Raut, took to his social media handle to announce the highly-anticipated news. The director shared the logo of the movie with the caption, “#Adipurush aarambh.”

The multilingual mythological drama is a modern adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana and celebrates the victory of good over evil. Bahubali actor Prabhas will be portraying the character inspired by Hindu Lord Ram while Saif Ali Khan will be playing the antagonist, the demon king. Meanwhile, the female lead of the movie is still kept under tight wraps.

Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush will be filmed in Hindi and Telugu, and will also be released in dubbed Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The highly anticipated project is slated for a release on August 11, 2022.
