Actor Sanjay Kapoor shares fond memories of shooting for his new web series “The Last Hour” in Sikkim. He finds not only the place but also the people of Sikkim to be extremely good. He believes that they are the ones that make the place special as they are very kind, welcoming and warm.
Kapoor interestingly recalls how the cast shot amidst the freezing cold weather in Sikkim which made it so tough for them. However, they didn’t end the shoot there. They continued to shoot under the freezing temperature for approximately 90 days, covering themselves with multi-layered clothes. He says that they had to even shoot under the scorching heat of Mumbai wearing the same exact clothes! He found both the situations to be equally difficult the extreme cold and the extreme heat. He then says that it was majorly tough in Mumbai because they didn’t sweat in Sikkim at all, and to maintain the flow, they were not supposed to sweat on-screen. He recalls how he felt sweat droplets trickling down his neck and back, but managed to keep a straight face.
In the web show, Sanjay plays the role of an investigating officer called Arup Singh, who goes to Sikkim to investigate a mysterious death. Being a Sikkimese and excited about playing a pivotal role in a Hindi show, Karma who is playing the role of a man with superpowers shares his reasons to be part of the murder mystery.
He says that while reading the entire screenplay, he found it very intriguing. He finds his character Shaman to be a very fascinating one with a special power that can help him figure out what happened to a dead human being, just one hour before his or her death. But the character is at the same time so real with real problems such as insecurities. This makes his character very complex and interesting as well.
The show is written and produced by Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz, and it streams on Amazon Prime Video.
