Aamir Khan gears up for a touching Christmas release with his upcoming project, Sitaare Zameen Par, promising both emotional depth and cinematic delight. Adapted from the Spanish sports dramedy Campeones, Khan returns to socially impactful storytelling, exploring the challenges and triumphs of individuals with Down Syndrome. Directed by RS Prasanna, filming commenced in February 2024, with a slated Christmas release.
Reportedly, Aamir Khan will commence the next schedule in New Delhi, focusing on a captivating narrative centred around the Paralympic Games, highlighting the journey of a headstrong basketball coach assigned community service. His mission? Leading a Special Olympics team comprising talented individuals with diverse learning disabilities, promising a transformative journey.
According to sources, the film will extensively feature Delhi’s iconic landmarks, including Lal Qila (Red Fort), Lodhi Garden, Purani Dilli (Old Delhi), and Tyagraj Stadium as backdrops for the shoot. Scheduled for a month between May and June, the shoot will incorporate various Paralympic Games, capturing the essence of the city while ensuring authenticity.
While the supporting cast remains undisclosed, reports suggest Khan will be accompanied by eleven children in pivotal roles, adding depth and authenticity to the narrative, and promising heartfelt moments between the coach and his team.
