Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars of the country and has spent decades in the entertainment industry. While the actor is currently busy with the production of his next, Laal Singh Chaddha, he shared his views on the current OTT trend and filmmakers skipping the traditional theatrical releases.

The superstar says that he is not in favour of the digital releases of movies and hopes for a better tomorrow. “Some films are releasing on OTT platforms, and as a film person, I am very concerned. I hope in the near future things will improve,” shared Aamir Khan at an event. He further added that theatres shall be opened only when the pandemic crisis improves but wishes to see the movies in theatres only.

“It is not easy to talk about reopening cinema halls. Theatres can be opened up only when the health situation improves, and we control the Covid-19 situation as a society, we are all trying and working on it. As more and more people get vaccinated things will get better,” he concluded.

Aamir Khan’s next Laal Singh Chaddha was earlier scheduled for a release in December last year but due to the nationwide lockdown, it was postponed and the makers are eyeing Christmas 2021 for the release. The official Hindi remake of Forrest Gump is being directed by Advait Chandan and features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles. The movie also has short but important characters played by superstars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
