With just days to go before its premiere, Amitabh Bachchan has officially started shooting for the much-loved quiz show. The legendary actor shared the update with fans through a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, building even more anticipation for the upcoming season.
In his post, Bachchan wrote in Hindi:
“T 5463 – पहुँच गये काम पे ; नया दिन, नया अवसर, नयी चुनौतियाँ प्रणाम. (Translation – Reached at work. New day, new opportunity, new challenges. Greetings.)”
Big B’s return as host brings a familiar charm to the show, which has been entertaining and educating audiences for over two decades. His towering presence, warm interactions, and insightful conversations with contestants have become a signature part of the show’s identity.
Over 16 successful seasons and 1368 episodes, Kaun Banega Crorepati has welcomed 2143 contestants to the hotseat. The show has seen several participants win the coveted crore-rupee prize through sheer knowledge, presence of mind, and composure under pressure.
Season 16 concluded on March 11 this year, and within just a few weeks, the new season was announced. The previous season had started on August 16, 2024, and continued to enjoy a strong viewership throughout its run.
Season 17 comes with the tagline, “Jahan Akal Hai Wahaan Akad Hai”, and its promotional teasers have already struck a chord with fans.
