While renowned actor of the Southern part of the Indian film industry, Vijay, has been making headlines lately for his upcoming movie, Thalapathy 64, reports had it that the actor will next be collaborating with Magizh Thirumeni or Vetrimaaran for Thalapathy 65. The latest reports suggest that Thalapathy Vijay will be reuniting with 2.0 fame director Shankar for his next.

While there has been nothing concrete about the untitled project, director Shankar recently opened up to the speculations and said that he would be collaborating with Vijay for a movie and an official announcement is expected to be made soon. The two had earlier worked together for the Tamil-language remake of the blockbuster Bollywood movie 3 Idiots. If things work out as expected, it will be their second outing together.

There are also reports that director Shankar has plans to work with Thalapathy Vijay for the second instalment of Mudhalvan starrer Arjun. Meanwhile, he is busy shooting for the sequel to the Kamal Hassan starrer Indian 2. On the other hand, Vijay is busy working for his upcoming movie Thalapathy 64 helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
